RECORDED: Nights In LIFE DRAW
RECORDED: Nights In LIFE DRAW
Our classic Charcoal Art Club hour, this time with Lily Holder and Rosie Ramsden. Exquisite poses, pops of colour, jaw dropping angles, and a few laughs. Just pure fun. All levels, all materials.
During the session: We'll be working on a series of poses running from 30 seconds to 10minutes.
Materials: This is an all levels/all materials session so if you have a particular medium you enjoy using then please bring it. If you’re keen to experiment, we suggest you have extra materials nearby - felt tips, oil pastel, beeswax - as there's always scope for fitting more than one sketch during a pose and mixing them up a bit. There will be plenty of set ups in this class so please have enough paper for the session, or a sketchbook to draw work in.
Here’s a simple list of WHAT WE LOVE:
Willow charcoal, hard-pressed charcoal and charcoal powder, versatile, soft AND strong, great for blending out bold marks. A lovely excuse to use natural materials.
Soft pastel and oil pastels, forgiving, colourful, bold; great for block colour and blending
Watercolour, gouache, acrylic, for colour and washy sketches
Sharpies, brush pens and fine liners, excellent for short poses
Your soundtrack to the session: here’s a BRAND NEW playlist - at your leisure.A note on tech and safety: Please be mindful of the vulnerability of the model - do not take screen shots or share the link.
Please share your drawings via email or tag us @charcoalartclub @rosieramsden @lilyholder. See you there!
